Clay Calhoun

The LA office staff is a microcosm of the city itself: self-starters, passionate about their work and our clients' missions and businesses, with startup excitement, but part of a larger established organization with a national and global presence and reputation.”

Clay Calhoun joined Affiliated Engineers in 2014, launching the firm's Los Angeles office. A licensed electrical engineer with a degree in mechanical engineering, Clay is leading this quickly flourishing practice in introducing AEI's approach to high performance projects to the Science & Technology, Healthcare, Mission Critical, Aerospace, and Higher Education markets — as well as to the architectural community — across Southern California.

A sample of Clay’s recent project work includes: Caltech’s Tianqiao & Chrissy Chen Institute for Neuroscience Laboratory; UCSD's Outpatient Pavilion, and Biological and Physical Sciences Building; the supercomputer installations and substation replacements for Lockheed Martin Corporation; UCLA's new 225,000 sq ft Westwood patient tower project; the 280,000 sf City of Hope Duarte Outpatient Clinic; and, the 125,000 sq ft New Physics Building at UC Santa Barbara.
