Ross Hall School of Dentistry

Supporting diverse teaching spaces with complex MEP and controls systems.

This new core facility of the School of Dentistry at ECU is part of the University of North Carolina system’s initiative to address the dental and oral health challenges facing North Carolina. The building’s energy-saving mechanical design ideas provided AEI with an opportunity to showcase our ability to understand and integrate system designs and sequences that have not been used before.

AEI provided direction and issue resolution to both the designer and controls contractor for hydronic multi-pump hot water systems, heat recovery wheel operation, and monitoring and building pressurization control. These system operations required sequence understanding and direction that AEI could provide to ensure proper operation of the building systems during our functional testing.
