Brian Wright

Brian Wright graduated from the University of California Irvine in 2008 with bachelor’s degrees in mechanical and aerospace engineering. He began in the industry working for a local mechanical contractor before transitioning to consulting engineering, giving him unique expertise on the life span of a project from the early stages of design to the final stages of construction. He has provided consulting engineering services in the markets of healthcare, higher education, design-build, and commercial construction to the San Diego and the southern California region for over a decade.

Brian has been with the San Diego office since its inception in 2023. He became managing director of AEI’s San Diego office, providing a local presence and building strong client and partner relationships. He has worked closely with clients on optimizing building energy usage and Title 24 compliance strategies and assisted on projects seeking LEED certification from the early stages of design all the way through the end of construction. He has led and assisted the mechanical engineering and project management of several facilities in the region, including the UCSD campus, MLK Community Hospital, Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center, USC, and more.
