With deep expertise in mechanical system design and software development, he has developed custom tools that harness real-time data to help AEI project teams improve energy performance, reduce carbon impact, and deliver smarter, more sustainable solutions. His innovations—applied to projects for Duke University, the University of Maryland, and national laboratories—optimize MEP systems while meeting the unique demands of science and technology environments. By integrating traditional engineering with artificial intelligence, Arif streamlines design processes, enhances precision, and accelerates delivery across disciplines. Robby Oylear, PE, LEED AP
Robby Oylear is a respected technical leader advancing district-scale energy systems that drive innovation and decarbonization across complex campuses. Since joining AEI in 2018, he has taken on key leadership roles, including managing the Seattle office’s 25-person mechanical engineering team and serving as the Energy & Utilities Market Leader in the Pacific Northwest. His portfolio includes landmark projects such as the Microsoft campus modernization and Thermal Energy Center, where he was both mechanical lead and project manager. Robby’s expertise covers high-performance systems—geothermal exchange, thermal energy storage, heat recovery, and intelligent controls—delivering scalable, cost-effective solutions for clients in higher education, healthcare, and science and technology sectors. His ability to guide multidisciplinary teams, develop implementation strategies, and ensure long-term system performance elevates AEI’s project delivery and client success. Robby’s leadership and technical depth earned him recognition on CSE’s 2025 40 Under 40 list.
