UW-Madison Vet Med Celebrates Groundbreaking for New Campus Updates
Ranked as one of the top ten best veterinary programs in the country, the University of Wisconsin-Madison’s School of Veterinary Medicine maintains a profound commitment to elevating animal and human health through innovative biomedical research and compassion.
This long-awaited building addition and expansion will provide modern research and instruction space, double the size of the existing small animal hospital, expand the large animal hospital, and create more space for critical specialty services such as imaging, surgery, oncology, and infectious disease laboratory capabilities.
New mechanical systems capable of supporting separate hospital and laboratory functions — including the incorporation of multiple energy recovery technologies — will optimize sustainability complex-wide, providing optimal occupant comfort for all user types.
“Today we celebrate the beginning of a new era in veterinary medicine at UW-Madison. The construction of this new facility is going to provide the school with a new home that befits its reputation and its importance to the university, the state, and the nation.”
