Ric Holman
Commissioning Market Leader
“A chance conversation in a fluid dynamics class in 1999 introduced me to the perfect job I never knew I wanted. I joined AEI as a construction representative in 2000 with an extensive background in construction and project management. Little did I know, I joined a dynamic company teeming with innovators that was growing an engineer-focused commissioning process and a culture that encouraged people to chart their own course.”
After four years in the trenches with two exceptional mentors working on exciting projects in healthcare, biopharma, and scientific research, I took over as AEI’s Commissioning Market Leader in the San Francisco office. I can honestly say that the past 23 years have flown by with endless learning opportunities and partnerships with people who are truly making a difference in people’s lives as well as reducing the impact of built structures on our environment.
Ric mentors and supports AEI’s Commissioning teams across the Western United States and participates in development and leadership activities through AEI’s offices. With over 35 years of experience in evaluating, managing, and commissioning building systems, construction management, start-up, operations, and training, he specializes in building management, lab monitoring and control, lighting control, hospital call and monitoring, and security and fire alarm systems. Ric’s practical approach to gene therapy facility commissioning and qualification has garnered a position on the outside advisory board for California University’s School of Medicine. In addition, he is an ASHRAE-certified commissioning professional and has commissioned over 8 million square feet of project space while at AEI.
