Consulting-Specifying Engineer Announces 2024 40 Under 40 Winners
We proudly announce that AEI Madison’s Lead Mechanical Engineer, Robin Graves, has earned a spot in Consulting-Specifying Engineer’s (CSE) 40 Under 40 awards program!
Each year, this prestigious award honors 40 outstanding professionals under 40 years old in the nonresidential building industry. These industry leaders excel in diverse facets of their personal and professional lives. Nominations submitted by peers or mentors are evaluated by industry specialists across nine criteria, encompassing dedication to academics, career achievements, personal endeavors, and community involvement.
Robin Graves
Robin joined AEI as an intern and now manages our largest mechanical department and spearheads complex science & technology projects, specializing in advanced lab and research facilities. Known for her expertise in HVAC systems and unwavering commitment to sustainability, Robin ensures engineering solutions align with project objectives, incorporating cutting-edge designs such as chilled beams, underfloor air distribution, natural ventilation, and atrium smoke control systems. Recognized for her contributions to the Promega Kornberg Center, she received the 2024 ASHRAE First Place Technology Award.
In addition to her technical prowess, Robin actively contributes to talent development, collaborating with her alma mater, the University of Wisconsin–Madison, on leading training programs and teaching adult extension courses. Her organizational development includes project tours and interactive training sessions, enriching AEI’s internship program, and she actively presents at various student organizations, supporting STEM/STEAM education.
Outside of work, Robin is an active volunteer, participating on her local library’s community board, and enjoys outdoor activities, such as hiking and gardening. Robin exemplifies a versatile industry leader, balancing technical excellence with mentorship and community engagement.
