Lucy Loukanova joined AEI in the fall of 2001 as an entry-level mechanical engineer, and since then, she has been an integral part of the Washington Metro D.C. office’s success.
Over the years with AEI, Lucy has grown within the company, gaining extensive experience leading teams, fostering client engagement, delivering complex projects, mentoring staff, and increasing market presence.
Lucy’s expertise encompasses both securing and managing various complex projects with corporate research and development, federal, higher education, and healthcare clients, such as the National Institutes of Health, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, University of Maryland, University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, University of Virginia, and AstraZeneca. Central to Lucy’s professional success has been her ability to cultivate strong client rapport, leveraging her extensive knowledge in planning and designing biomedical and chemical research laboratories, animal research facilities, Current Good Manufacturing Practices (CGMP) cleanrooms, healthcare facilities, and related central utilities.
With the depth of experience and expertise gained over years of project work, Lucy is well-regarded throughout the industry for her technical acumen and leadership.
Currently, Lucy leads projects and develops AEI’s relationships with Rowan University, Charles River Laboratories, and others. She remains heavily focused on growing AEI’s presence in the science and technology and life sciences markets to help facilities plan for a more sustainably conscious future.
