Marko Becir
Principal
“I consider myself truly fortunate that I joined AEI's LA office at its inception. It was a unique experience to help with the development of the office through the support of amazing colleagues from other offices across the nation, and it allowed me to grow professionally and personally.”
Marko Becir graduated from the University of Belgrade School of Mechanical Engineering with a degree in thermal engineering. After coming to the United States in December of 2000, he started his career in consulting engineering, working for other national firms on a variety of project types in higher education, healthcare, master planning and infrastructure, and commercial markets.
He joined AEI’s Pasadena office from its establishment in February 2015 and has been an integral part of the office’s growth over the years. Marko’s role required him to take on several, sometimes simultaneous, functions, including mentoring, engineering, project management, business development, mechanical group leadership, and office leadership. Marko works on projects in science and technology, healthcare, and higher education markets, ranging from planning to renovation to the design of new buildings. Along the way, Marko built and developed relationships with clients such as UCLA, USC, Cedar Sinai, City of Hope, Children’s Hospital of Orange County, and architectural partners like CO Architects, HDR, ZGF, Pfeiffer Architects, Cannon, and many others.
