Michael Click is the managing principal of AEI’s Commissioning practice. With expertise honed over 20 years and 250 projects, he remains on the cutting edge of the commissioning industry by observing a flexible framework to define a custom commissioning process.
Michael has served as the project manager and commissioning engineer for many large and technically complex buildings, including academic, laboratory, healthcare, data center, central utility and energy plant, and office facilities. He is recognized for his innovation in establishing energy and cost-effective solutions to construction anomalies in the field. He has extensive experience with process control systems (PLC, DCS, HMI, and SCADA) along with specialized skills in building management control systems (BAS, DDC, BMS, and CCMS). Teamed with the North Carolina State Construction Office, Mike collaborated on the NC Commissioning Task Force Committee, developing commissioning guidelines for the state of North Carolina projects.
Michael has written articles and presented at many conferences on innovation in the commissioning process. He is a Certified Building Commissioning Professional recognized by the Association of Energy Engineers.
