Chapel Hill
“Since 1991, AEI’s Chapel Hill office has grown to 60 people providing services in all of AEI’s core markets. The project opportunities in this region, along with the great people and climate, have made this office a popular firm-wide relocation target.”
Our North Carolina office is located in the Research Triangle area formed by Raleigh, Durham, and Chapel Hill. The region is distinguished by its talented, highly educated population, 53 percent of which hold a bachelor's degree or higher. In addition to International Fortune 100 research and development companies, start-up businesses, and several federal agencies, major research universities located in the area include Duke University, North Carolina State University, and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Outside of work, people here enjoy the wide variety of activities that the area and great climate offer. There's hiking and biking, boating on the area lakes and rivers, numerous museums and performing arts venues, terrific golfing year round, and hundreds of unique restaurants. North Carolina takes great pride in its unique BBQ style. College sports are a big deal here-particularly an NCAA basketball obsession. The state also hosts the NHL Carolina Hurricanes, the NFL Carolina Panthers, the minor league baseball Durham Bulls, and NASCAR.
The small town feel, the big city amenities, and the remarkable blue skies all add up to "a southern part of heaven." Quick getaways are also an option, a couple hours in either direction, as we're halfway between the Blue Ridge Mountains to the west and the beaches of the Outer Banks to the east.
