University of Kansas Project Delivery Highlighted in Tradeline Feature

With millions of square feet of outdated facilities and associated infrastructure, keeping up with the ever-evolving demands of modern pedagogy was becoming an increasingly significant challenge at the University of Kansas (KU).

To continue serving as a leading teaching and research institution, KU needed a fresh approach — an innovative funding model that not only provided the necessary financial support for such large-scale updates but did so in a timely fashion.

Adopting a public-private partnership (P3) project delivery methodology, KU now has an entirely redeveloped central district, including a modern utility plant with teaching and research space, a state-of-the-art science building, new water and electrical services, as well as campus housing and a student union building.
