Joel Boado joined the AEI's Madison office in 2004 as an entry-level mechanical engineer, rapidly developing expertise in facility planning, design, and construction. With the breadth of experience gained over years of project work, he applies his expertise to assisting clients with facility master planning and project budgeting.
Joel’s use of computational fluid dynamics software modeling and the development of custom analysis tools enhanced his data center assessment, planning, and design work for such clients as Thompson Reuters, Abbott Labs, and Eli Lilly. Joel’s primary focus is the healthcare market, and he now serves on the Wisconsin Department of Health Services Lean Committee, improving the efficiency of project review. He has provided engineering leadership on UW Health's American Family Children's Hospital and American Center Hospital. Currently, he is the project manager of Houston Methodist's Walter Tower and Centennial Tower projects, which are nearly 2.0M square feet.
