Sam Swafford joined AEI in 2025 as a recruiter supporting our West Coast offices, where he connects talented professionals with career opportunities across the region. With over 12 years of experience in AEC recruiting, he specializes in identifying and placing top talent across mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) disciplines.
For Sam, building meaningful relationships is what matters most. He enjoys guiding candidates through the recruitment process and is passionate about sharing AEI’s collaborative culture and mission-driven work.
His background spans full-cycle recruitment, strategic talent planning, and close collaboration with leadership to support long-term growth in both established and emerging markets. He takes a consultative approach to recruiting, combining technical insight with a focus on culture fit and retention.
Outside of work, Sam enjoys time with his daughter and dogs, out on the golf course, or exploring outdoors.
