LEED Enhanced Commissioning
We at AEI work hard to maximize the performance in every building we commission. Shaping the landscape of LEED-compliant commissioning, our multi-disciplinary experts have been providing comprehensive aid to clients, known within AEI as our Commissioning Standard of Care since 1984.
For over three decades, we have contributed to and helped define ever-evolving commissioning standards and practices. AEI continually participates on nationally-recognized committees, contributing to the U.S. Department of Energy’s research projects, and developing instructional and informational materials. These efforts advance the adoption of commissioning practices reflected in green building codes, reference standards, and green building rating systems such as WELL Building Standard, Green Globes, Living Building Challenge, BREEAM, NZEB, SITES, Energy Star Rating System, International Green Code Council, and CalGreen (Title 24).
AEI’s commissioning practice performs verification of installation and operations of mechanical, electrical, piping/plumbing, controls, and technology systems – further enhancing energy and water savings, and indoor environmental quality and durability – throughout design, construction, and post-occupancy phases. Our Commissioning Standard of Care, at a minimum, is all inclusive of the LEED Fundamental and Enhanced Commissioning project requirements.
